I have limited availability for new clients.
I believe that people have the capacity to develop new insight, grow, heal, and make healthy changes to lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives. I create a safe environment that facilitates your ability to meet your goals and experience increased well-being. I am passionate about providing high-quality counseling services that are tailored to meet the needs of each individual with whom I work. I have extensive experience providing individual and group therapy, consultation services, workshops, and clinical supervision.
I have trained and worked in an array of settings including university counseling centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health. As a clinical psychologist, I operate from an interpersonal perspective and integrate third-wave cognitive behavioral approaches such as DBT and ACT into my work as appropriate. I am interested in understanding you – the way you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Oftentimes, interpersonal patterns or ways of thinking that may have been helpful in the past are not helpful or healthy for us in the present.
I work collaboratively and non-judgmentally with clients to recognize and understand unhealthy patterns, and then develop adaptive skills and healthier frameworks to navigate life. I am trained as a generalist, but have expertise in the areas of relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and adjustment/life transitions. I value multiculturalism and diversity, and welcome working with people from diverse backgrounds and identities.
