As a clinician, I help clients explore, grow, and harness their internal strengths, make meaning out of their experiences, and empower clients to make impactful changes to their lives. I specialize in treating anxiety (general anxiety, social anxiety, phobias), interpersonal and couples/relationship concerns, and grief. I also frequently work with clients coping with identity concerns, adjustment difficulties, and depression. I have extensive experience providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, as well as consultations and workshops.

I have trained and worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including local university counseling centers, Western State Hospital, the Mary Ainsworth Psychological Clinic at UVA, and the Center for Children, Families, and the Law at UVA. I am also bilingual and am able to conduct sessions in Mandarin Chinese.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative, tailoring treatment to the unique experiences and needs of each client. In treatment, I flexibly integrate Cognitive-Behavioral, Emotion-Focused, Person-Centered, and relational techniques to help you understand and work through your experiences, and develop outcomes and solutions that work for you.

I provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space so that you can take the step toward self-discovery and improve the quality of your life.
